About the Conference

A weekend of inspiring seminars, practical workshops, opportunities to network and great worship, with a Biblical perspective on friendship evangelism. This is a weekend not to be missed – 2016 is our Jubilee year and we are delighted to have Activate former Chief Executive Ruth Adams as our keynote speaker.  Whether you are looking to come for the first time, or whether you have been an Activate supporter for 50 years, we would love you to join us as we celebrate the past and look forward to the future.  Be sure to bring your teenage daughters and grand daughters too, as we continue to inspire them through our Miss Activate events, activities and treats specially for 14-18s.

Set within 150 acres of beautiful countryside, with an indoor leisure complex with pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool spa and treatment rooms, the centrally located De Vere Hotel in Staverton, Northamptonshire is the ideal location for an indulgent time away from your daily commitments. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with a range of events and an uplifting focus on living for Jesus in every season of our everyday, ordinary lives.  There is opportunity to try new activities and crafts at our our ever-popular ‘Easy Like Sunday Morning’ event, and relax at our Gala Dinner, where Fiona Castle and Ruth Adams will be sharing special moments from their work with Activate over the years.  For a taste of what to expect, listen to a pod cast from our last weekend away.

Starting with cakes and refreshments on arrival on Friday 1st April, the package includes all meals and spa facilities until the Sunday afternoon (3rd April). Take advantage of our Early Bird prices (available until 31st Dec 2015) and plan to share a twin room for £165 per person, or book a single room for £185. Getting There

By Car

From Northampton and M1 (Junction 16)

Follow the A45 to Daventry. Follow signs for the A425 towards Leamington Spa and Staverton. Staverton Park is located on the right-hand side, about half a mile from the outskirts of Daventry.

From the North, and M1 (Junction 18)

Leave the motorway and follow the A361 to Daventry.Follow signs for A425 towards Leamington Spa and Staverton. Staverton Park is located on the right-hand side, about half a mile from the outskirts of Daventry.

From M40 and Banbury (Junction 11)

Leave the motorway and follow the A361 to Daventry. After approximately 16 miles and after Badby village, turn left at signpost for Staverton. Follow road, until small roundabout, turn right at roundabout. Staverton Park is located half a mile on the left.

By Rail

Northampton and Rugby main line stations are both approximately 12 miles away. Trains leave from London Euston and take approximately 1 hour. Direct rail journeys from Gatwick to Rugby take approximately 2 hours.

By Air

Birmingham International Airport is 30 miles away. The M1 provides a direct route to London’s three main airports (Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead) via the M25, M4/M23 and M11 respectively.

Journey times are approximately 90 minutes to Heathrow and Stanstead and 150 minutes to Gatwick.
