Good news jump-starter 2: Free six-week resource for your home group!

Our friends at Third Space have published a fantastic resource that is right up our street!  ‘First Steps: Sharing Jesus in Your Everyday’ is a brand new course on evangelism.  This six-week online group study explains how we can share our faith naturally, allowing you to try things out and find a method that suits you.  Each session features a video from the CEO of Third Space, Caroline Skinner, and is available online here.  We think it would make a great group study for your current home group or a new one. With it being an online course, you could easily study this with friends from anywhere in the world! It would work well for a new group as there are plenty of opportunities to get to know each other, too.

The course is available to view or download at SPCK Homegroups website. The sessions look at the motivation behind evangelism, what we mean by evangelism, being intentional in our friendships, before finally looking further afield and being more intentional by reaching the third spaces in our society – coffee shops, nightclubs, gyms, etc. If you’d like to find out more about what this means, please take a look at this video:

Session 4 promises to be fun – we get to watch a clip of The Simpsons and fill in a 10-minute survey to learn how each of us is wired to share Jesus!  Home groups discussing the results of those surveys always prove to be fun and enlightening, but this one really could help you feel confident to share God’s love in a way that is totally natural to you.

I’ve just completed the survey and received a detailed explanation of my strengths and areas for growth. The scores relate to your mission style: convince me, show me, let me experience, or talk to me. My results said ‘if anyone is going to experience FOMO it’s you!’ (Although I wonder if I would answer in the same way when I’m no longer isolating!). There are even blogs and resources to help you in your style.  If you’d like to access the survey, you’ll find it in session 3.

As always, we’d love to hear how you get on!  Contact us here.
